Thing a day #9,10 Self Portrait and Song snippet
9. I made a little self portrait of myself that reminds me a little of Hideo Azuma (read Disappearance Diary, one of the best comics of 2008 in my opinion) for some reason. Pen & Photoshop.

10. Then later with my new Macbook and Garage Band, I recorded this 80s Cure/Smiths/MBV ripoff riff thing with my circa 1960s cheapo Teisco guitar. It was fun, and easy to do! I have too low of an attention span to ever make a whole song though.

that is the most adorable drawing in the history of self-portraits. although, your use of extreme realism isn't very appropriate to the style ;)

Also, that song is great. It makes me nostalgic for high school, when under all other circumstances, I would never ever want to think about that era of my life again. Ever. Thanks a lot

Yeah now the riff reminds me a little of the Sundays more, which is probably THE de facto nostalgacore band of the 80s.
